Seafood Dinner & Dialogue with Mr. Husein Atari
(St. Petersburg)
At the end of a long (and rainy) day of travel and meetings, everyone was happy to finally sit down to a Florida seafood dinner in St. Petersburg! The Fourth Street Shrimp Store was ready with plenty of shrimp, Florida grouper, clam strips and more for a very hungry group. World Partnerships intern Max Blumenfeld, an economics major at Florida State University, joined the group for this memorable dinner!

After everyone got settled in at the Hampton Inn St. Petersburg, the group met with Mr. Husein Atari, a retired US Air Force officer and former cultural advisor to US Central Command, who is now a successful Palestinian entrepreneur living in Tampa. After introductions and learning to his delight that some of the teachers came from his village in Palestine, each Tech Talent awardee presented their projects to Husein, who offered entrepreneurial feedback! The very warm and personal evening ended with Husein’s offer to be supportive of their work in any way that he could be.
