Statutory, Judicial and Regulatory Framework to Fight Corruption

Chief Holloway used a variety of case examples to highlight the statutory, judicial and regulatory framework for investigating and prosecuting corruption cases. He provided in-depth explanations of ways in which local and state law enforcement pursue such investigations, including tips, formal complaints, whistleblowers, Florida’s “Sunshine” laws, investigative reporting, search warrants, and wiretaps. Chief Holloway also presented a case study of a government corruption, from investigation to prosecution. His discussion elicited detailed questions from the IVLP visitors, and a frank and lively exchange. Chief Holloway also gave the visitors a tour of the 911 Emergency Communications Center
That afternoon, the Champions departed for Treasure Island for a Sunset Sail into the Gulf of Mexico. They sailed for an hour before a massive storm front sent them back to port! |
